About This Site

We are a growing and an enthusiastic group - off grid or partly off grid - and looking to expand as a group with more members here. The purpose of this web site is to gather and share helpful information for homestead / off grid living in every way that we can. 

And especially, to celebrate the value of it all.  In our experience, getting away from congestion, chaos and noise to a more peaceful, quiet and self reliant environment is a blissful choice. 

We welcome your participation - posts, stories, member comments, articles, and suggestions.

What you won't find here are the negativity, attacks, bots, or the grifters, and trolls that spoil so much of the internet That's all very exhausting and time wasting. We're not having it.

For instance, we've seen pages that went on and on - angry people arguing about what 'off grid' really means. Insults and arguments about who is truly off grid.  So for fun, let's end that here.  What does off grid mean? Here you go. ... It's settled:

Maybe it means something different to you. Or you are partially off grid, or part-time off grid. Or trying to get there soon. Or just interested - that's just fine too!  You are off grid and welcome here. Done. Moving on.

And Please Bear With Us.  We may be dealing with an actual bear. Or other animals. Or spending some long days clearing the road, repairing the gates, or maybe just fishing.

So if you do reach out to contact or register for something - it might take a day or two to get back to you.
