There is a rapidly growing movement of people pursuing a new way of life. Or it's an old way of life in a new world.

There are differences, and they also have much in common.

Two basic desires lie in the heart of it all;

•  A vision of a purposeful and simplified life and a feeling of belonging. A leap to a new life built on positivity and unity with others, striving for common goals.  
• A separation and independence from the chaos and stresses of the modern larger world. 

In escaping what many see as shallow and unraveling society - they are choosing a new path for their lives, carefully designed to fit their values.  

These are not dreamers.  There are thousands of these new communities - some still in the forming and planning or very early stages, and many now established, thriving and growing. 

At offgridcentral.org we are talking to many of these groups, situated in countries around the world.

For the most part that is part of our system for helping them find compatible new members, and helping searchers find the community that is the right fit for them.

In the course of doing that, we are learning about the stumbling blocks they have encountered, and what is working well.

That is spark for this series, we are going to summarize those subjects as well as we can. And we are going to reveal as accurately as possible what is working well. And how they made it happen. And we will show how you can make it happen too. Because if you have read this far, you probably like the idea!
